dose not free the selection when press the left mouse button on empty area in File/Folder list.

i select one or more item in File/Folder list,
and then i press the left mouse button on empty area,
then selected item(s) color will changed to normal color,
but on status bar always shows one item selected.

Confirmed.

What's happening here is interesting from a UI point of view.

By left-clicking on the empty space, the selection is cleared, but the focus is still active on the last selected item. This is standard Windows UI behavior. In FreeCommander, however, the status bar reflects the info regarding the focused item. This is non-standard behavior, but has some validity since performing an action will perform it on the focused item (try File->Edit for an example), although this is non-standard behavior as well.

It's probably best to treat a focused-but-not-selected item as unselected, like in Windows Explorer. That said, how FreeCommander is currently functioning does have logic to it.
