Hey everyone! I am so excited! I just figured out why to use a file container and I love it!

I am managing polycom config files and I need to work in just a few of them in place.
Before I was using the quickfilter to find the ones I wanted (amoungst 200 files all named by their mac address) over and over and over.
Then it occurred to me what a file container was for.
So I created a file container and dragged into it the four files I needed access to.

Now I don't have to filter all the time!
The files are right there in a clean panel and at the original place at the same time.
I'm so happy!

Yeah, file containers are really cool for many operations. I really like the fact that you can do a search and then with the click of a button export the matches to a file container - this is extremely handy when you need to pinpoint files based on a number of parameters, for example for creating a compressed archive and E-mailing it.

If your search spans subfolders and there are matches at several levels in the directory tree, an export to a file container will collapse the folder structure. You can even have duplicated file names in the file container, though you won't be able to Zip up those files of course. But real handy for a quick checksum check or diff operation.

Did you know - you can create a file container tab too?

Right click a tab bar and select "New file container tab".
