Make the Quick Viewer situable as the Viewer

Let’s choose another viewer, eg Universal viewer
In Settings/programs/viewer for pdf and doc files, it works perfectly.
With F3, a doc file is visible with UniViewer.

BUT the quick view panel doesn’t do the same thing.
The file is shown with the internet program for doc files, here Word 2003.
It can be displayed with text, (not readable).

BUT not with universal Viewer.
Perhaps, there is a way to make it, but not find by me
As shown in the image, FC allows displaying doc and pdf files in then thumbnails. That’s great.
Thank you Marek

What plugin do you use to make Universal Viewer able to display .pdf files?
You should set that plugin to work with FC's Quick viewer.
You can't replace FC's Quick viewer with another program (like you can with the internal viewer), but you can set it up to use any plugin you need.
Quick viewer is just that: a quick way do display a file (or parts of it) inside FC's own window; it makes no sense to add an option to replace it with a different program.

No plugin.

I don't want because there is no plugin able to display correctly doc file ( pdf yes)
Installing plugins allows dyplaying in the quick view pannel
.
Universal Viewer in nativly able to read doc and docx files (and pdf) without errors, as well as MS Word viewer, or MS Word. Open office writer nearly, but sometime with errors
I want to use no longer MS Word in the quick view panel because Word 2013 is to haevy on a tablet and display the bar menus in the quick view panel (Word 2003 not)

"You can't replace FC's Quick viewer with another program (like you can with the internal viewer), but you can set it up to use any plugin you need"
==> indeed.
Is there a good reason , Marek ?
:-)

Did you try uLister, too? I had no issues with .doc files display while using it.

On your demand, I have tried.
Difficult to configure. Bugs known.
(for PDF reading ok, for PDF indexed from my Fujisu Scansnap, errors or veryyyyy long. Error from the Oracle utility. reproduced using it without ulister)

At least, some errors in .doc reading.
Not so much. With Word ou MSWordViewer, no errors.

I think the Principe of FreeCommander is to be free.
Free of choosing WordWiewer as Quick viewer if you will…

What can you see with Universal Viewer - only extracted text or original formatted document?

For me ULister works perfect to show doc and docx in FC Quick view
It is configured as Plugin in the Universal Viewer which is configured as External Viewer in FC.
For PDF I've configured SLister in Universal Viewer and SumatraPDF as viewer in FC.
This works fine in FC Quick view.
So no problem with Quick view, using the actual Donor version 668 of x64 FC.
