Details view on left not preserved

Am I the only one that cannot save the
left panel view in
Details? Each time I restart FC the left panel returns to
List view!
Seems like the INI settings is ignored, I have manually changed it as follow but nothing change:

Hello Giangi, welcome to the FC forum.
I can't confirm this issue, tested in versions 650 public and 652 donor, on Windows Vista 32 bit.
Are you sure the other settings were saved correctly? Perhaps it's the Windows permission problem...
Please also check if you edit the right ini file, the location of the file is in menu > Help > About > Paths info.

Yes, I'm sure I have checked the correct INI file and it shouldn't be a permission problems because I do keep UAC off and I am local admin of my Seven 32bit pc...
Btw, I'm running FC in portable mode!
Any other changes I do are applied to the INI file.
If there is a kind of "debug" mode to generate a log I'll be more than happy to provide you the output!!

Addendum!!! I have found the
problem...
It was a
ViewStyle=2 setting for a tab...
Into the INI there was this section with a specific tab settings that I do not know how I made!!! Actually I didn't find a place for configuring the view for a specific tab...
I have deleted the two sections and now the view is in Detail mode!!!
