I've got a new idea:)
Visible "close" icon on inactive (folder) tab.
What do you think ?

Mouse middle click is better to be used for this job. If this option is added (I really hope not) it should be just that, an option. I have very strong feelings about the X (close button) found on tabs...very bad experience with Chromium-based browsers... can't even remember how many times I closed a tab trying to activate it. So annoying!

There is a logic in your words so, no - so no

I miss the X on inactive tabs. I use them in Firefox and don't remember to have ever hit them accidentally. The middle click does the same job but I prefer the X.
