This is an image of the way I have FC configured.

If I click on the right drive tab either top or bottom pane, the drive letter on the top bar will change appropriately, but, if I click on the drive in the tree, the drive letter on the top bar does not change.
If I click on any folder under the drive in the tree or a folder on the right side, the drive letter on the top bar will change.

I need probably your freecommander.ini as I can not reproduce it.

How do I send the .ini file?

Never mind. I find out how.

I may not have explained my dilemma well enough.
Looking at my uploaded image, the top bar shows that drive D: in the second pane tree is active.
If I click on drive C: in the top pane, the top bar remains as drive D:, but, if I click on the tab for drive C:, the top bar will change to drive C:.
If I click on any of the folders of either the top or bottom right pane, the top bar drive will change.
