Have long used Free Commander to manage data on my phones. The Galaxy S2 always showed up as 2 removable drives [the phone, & the SD card]. Worked great.
Just upgraded to Galaxy S3, Android 4.1.1, & find that there's no USB mass storage. Options are limited to MTP ["media player"] & PTP ["camera"]. Problem is that FC doesn't "see" the phone under either MTP or PTP, & doesn't show the data card.
In Win 7 Pro Explorer, I can see phone & SD card, & handle data normally...but I HATE Explorer.
Any ideas how to enable FC capability here?

Thanks...but I've now installed XE & no change. Still see both phone & SD card in Explorer. Any other suggestions?
Re: New Android phones/OS invisible to FC
I have the same problem with my HTC DNA smart phone. There is no indication of it being connected. In Q-Dir 5.55 it shows up as a portable device with the name HTC6435LVW. The same name shows up in Explorer with no reference tp a portable device. Both explorer and Q-Dir allow me to read and write files in the Non-phone storage area. Is there something I should be doing in Free Commander XE to access the phone?
Re: New Android phones/OS invisible to FC
Oops. I should have said I'm running Win 7 64bit.
Re: New Android phones/OS invisible to FC
Still no solution? addon/plug-in..?
Do you know how TotalCommander or others are about that. Because in my Win7 Pro the MTP is pretty crappily badly integrated with the file system.

Re: New Android phones/OS invisible to FC
FC 2009 is not maintained anymore.
MTP transfer has been implemented in FC XE 665 beta public release and refined in 668 beta donor release.
