Last little question, the following statement scares me a bit:
Updated 27.10.2012 release 604
This is a preview of the future version of FreeCommander.
Please test this version with unimportant files and folders! Some functions could not work properly.

Can I use this version with important files ?
If no, when can I expect an official version ?

Thanks again very much for all your efforts !

My answer does not count :), but I use XE last 2 years with all my important files.
You can find in forum some opinions too, e.g. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4282&p=12808&hilit=stable#p12808.

According to the threads about FCXE in the Beta-section I think that all beta testers, especially those with donor status, use FXCE for more over 1 year as their main filemanager with all their files.

I've never had a file damage caused by FCXE. FCXE isn't feature complete yet, but the included features are working without risky actions.

I have been using FCXE as my primary file manager since it debuted for personal and business work and have had no issues. I use Windows Explorer as little as possible.

Perhaps it's time to change the text, currently the FC XE is stable enough to use it as main file manager.

I, too, have been using FCXE as my main file manager now - for a very long time, too! I trust it with my files.
