I am observing a different behaviour with same settings for FC XE installed on XP and Win 7. The setting are these:

File/folder operations> Select only file name - checked
Select items> Open file/folder with single click - checked
File/folder list> Full row select - checked

On win xp if i click close to the file/folder name in the space inside the name column it only selects the item which i find convenient because it allows me to focus and select file/folders faster.

On win 7 if i click close to the file/folder name in the space inside the name column it opens the file/folder which i don't find very convenient because if i just want to select an item i have to watch not to click inside the name column.

What is the FC default behaviour with this settings selected?

Faced with the same problem. Developer said that "Full row select" works on Win 7 or later. Already suggested to group such OS-dependent items separately in each window and name group something like "For Windows 7 or later". If item need a special OS edition, then name something like "For Windows 7 or later, Professional edition and higher" or "For Windows 7 or later, Aero only". I hope it would be implemented in the next version.
