Parent folder - full row select

I think the combination of these two settings will be useful:
Move folder up with single click on parent folder full row in detailed view.
Open file and folders with single click when clicking only on their names.

You can already do both; use Settings > Select Items
[x] Open file with single click
[x] Open folder with single click
The latter works on the Go To Parent entry, just like opening a folder.

Does it work for you when you single click on the parent folder row in the space outside the name column?
For me it works only if i click on the parent folder icon.

Sorry, I overlooked that in your post. The answer is no, but we can pinpoint where the limitation is.
(Full Row Select is enabled, of course, in Settings > File/Folder List.)
(1) Single-click files and folders is disabled:
Double-click opens files, folders, and go-to-parent from anywhere in the row.
(2) Single-click files and folders is enabled:
Single-click opens files, folders, and go-to-parent only from the name column.
Double-click is required elsewhere in the row.
So it appears your request for enhancement becomes: Extend the single-click function so it works in full row select, not just the name column.
Is your experience the same?

On my System Single click works on the full name field, not only on the "..".
It not opens the folder on other columns.
Btw, I don't know why anybody uses this "single click". Only switched to it for testing your problems.

Yes, this is what i am trying to say, but only for the parent folder row.

I think this work only on windows 7 system, on windows xp it doesn't work, but i would like some other xp users to confirm that.
