Shy Button ala After Effects

Everyone who has ever worked on a bigger After Effects project knows the merits of the Shy Button.
For those who aren't familiar:
Every item in a list (in this case folders and files) has a shy button that marks the item as "shy".
Then there is a global Shy Button that hides all items marked as "shy".
Why is this so useful? Because most of the time when you're working on a project you only use a handful of folders. When your directories are cluttered with dozens of folders it can take valuable time to find the right one. The Shy Button would pretend like you had only one project and its folders on your system while leaving the original folder structure intact (as opposed to a Windows Explorer Library).
Is anyone in on this?
