Desktop item list is quite a mess (control panel, user, network, recycle bin, desktop icons and more...), so what about option to show all the important items except desktop items in computer "folder"?

I saw the similar option somewhere, probably not in the FC, so the option might be "Show Computer as root folder (instead Desktop)".

So if I'd go up from C:, I'd go to "Computer", as now, but there would be no more [..] item to go to desktop, only the drives and the items from Desktop list and perhaps few more, for example:

1: Network
2: FTP
3: File containers
4: Quick file container

User folder
Public (folder)
History
My Documents
Favorite folders
Windows Start Menu (same as toolbar button)
Windows system folders (same as toolbar button)
Computer management (same as toolbar button)

Perhaps even configurable, but I'm not sure if needed.

What about a section in the options panel where you check the boxes for the entries you would like to have in the menu? That would leave them hard-coded as they are now, which allows them to be adjusted behind the scenes to accomodate the different Windows versions. The user doesn't have to know the paths that way, but could choose exactly what they want. I don't think that would be difficult to actualize.
