FreeCommander Forum

Hello.
My O.S. is Win XP.

Sometimes, probably due to other problems on my PC, FreeCommander crashes and loses its configuration (colors, column configuration, history etc.), so I must re-configure it.
I set a special path for the file "FreeCommander.ini" and I saved backup copy of "FreeCommander.ini"
After crashing I restored this file in the choosen path, but FreeCommander ignores it, so I must re-configure manually.

What can I do?

Make sure that the correct path is set in the file fcStart.ini

To backup all settings you have to backup the following files:

fcStart.ini
FreeCommander.ftp
FreeCommander.ini
FreeCommander.shc
