Search results should be available in a pane

Hi all. Apologies if this has been posted before, but today I needed to select multiple files based on text they contained, and then I wanted to move those files elsewhere. Unfortunately the search results window is inactive: I could not select those files and drag them to a different directory or treat them as I could in a normal FC pane.
That feature would be pretty nifty.
