Copy files without folder structure?

I have been trying to use the 'Synchronize' function to copy a large number of files from a existing directory to another folder without the extensive folder structure in my old directory. I was not able to figure out how to do this, is it indeed not possible?
Any tips on this issue would be welcomed.
