Version: 2009.02b, latest formal version

1. In the left panel, right-click mouse and do "Delete".

2. After deleting, the main window of FreeCommander
loses focus to another application.

I have observed that with 2009.02a, FreeCommander loses focus after deleting
a *folder*. With 2009.02b, I could not reproduce it today.

But since it was originally reported against 2009.02b,
I will see if it happens again.

This *does* happen on Windows XP SP3 running
FreeCommander 2009.02b, and happens about 1 in 10 times.
It loses focus and yeilds to the application under it.

I was doing a lot of copies using the two-panel
main window, with both folder-trees open.

Try the following:

1. Right-click a file in the content panel, and delet it.
Try both cases
when the Windows "deleting ..." temporary dialog appears,
and when it does not.

2. Right-click a folder in the content panel, and delet it.
Try both cases (above).

3. Right-click a folder in the folder tree, and delete it.
Try both case (above).

4. Right-click a folder in the folder tree, which is the
folder being displayed in the content part of the panel,
and delete this folder. Try both cases (above).
*YOU ALSO SEE* that after this action, both the
"location" field and the "content" part of the panel are
not updated immediately. You need to click into
the inside of the content panel to force an update.

Sorry - this temporary solution is proving too complicated for me. And I'm quite sure that this loss of focus happens to me more frequently than the 1 in 10 times you've stated. Will this bug be corrected in the next version? You didn't say in your post. Thank you.

Well, here I am about 6 months later and the problem still exists. ***I should clarify that it's folder deletion that causes Free Commander to minimize in my case - not file deletion. I'm using the portable version of 2009.02b. Win XP SP3. This is a real shame - I could just move on to one of the many available twin-pane file managers but I've really come to like Free Commander. Any new information on this bug?

Why dont you try FreeCommander XE? The old version FreeCommander 2009 is no more under development...

fC XE is called "a Preview of the next version" but its quite stable and covers the most important features of file management. I have switched over completely to this version.
