There ist a very nice progress bar to show the free space (SETTINGS -> VIEW -> DRIVES -> SHOW OCCUPIED SPACE PROGRESS BAR) - but the bar is missing when I restart XE (the checkbox in the settings ist still on)

Always when I open XE, the width of the tree window will have only the half from before.
Starting twice will make the tree window very small.

I can not reproduce your problem with space progress bar.
You mean release 519? Could you send me your freecommander.ini?

Yes, I'm using release 519. I didn't start with a new .ini with this release because I didn't want to loose my settings.
I've sent you my .ini and some screenshots.
