Context menu goes away after 10 seconds on 64-bit - b418

#1 Post by jaden » 22.10.2010, 00:11

On Win7 64-bit the context menu goes away after 10 seconds. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but TortoiseSVN has a very involved context menu and it keeps timing out before I've selected an option.

Since it's always 10 seconds, I'm guessing there's a timeout. Is there a .ini setting to change it? I searched the .ini but didn't find anything with context, menu, timeout, etc. I also searched the forum but didn't find this issue mentioned.

This should have been posted in the discussion forum, since it is not a bug. According to the version history for both current released and beta versions:

New: 64 bit context menu will be showed on Windows 64

You can now control 64 bit context menu with the following line in the freecommander.ini:
[Form]
ShowContextMenu64Bit=1

AutoCloseTimeContextMenu64Bit=10

I just tested this on a 64-bit machine and it worked as expected. Does there have to be a timeout at all? Changing the focus makes it go away...that works well enough for me. Maybe there's a use case I'm not thinking of.

in my case, if i add the mentioned lines, it doesnt matter what timeout i set, the menu holds 20 sec before it disappears...
