Hi, I think unicode support is ready

I am a Chinese user. I love freecommander. :D

I think unicode support is already done in this 2010 prealpha version. Is there any users from China or some other countries need unicode support?

Let us have a discussion.

1. When I type, delete, insert some Chinese characters or move the cursor in the rename dialog, is works perfect. No more errors like before.
2. Multi file rename is still unavailable. I think Marek has rewrite this whole software! It is the best time to add unicode support.
3. One discussion before: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=307&start=15

Is it possible to test out the pre-alpha version, or join the beta program to
get the Unicode version?

Actually, non-Unicode FreeCommander (2009.02a) can already support
"local code-page Chinese characters", e.g. when running under Chinese (trad.-character)
Windows. But running under Chinese (trad.-character) windows, it
cannot manipulate files with Chinese (simp.-character) filenames.

It cannot run under Microsoft AppLocale's fake Chinese (simpl.-character) environment.
So, I guess it cannot manipulate Chinese characters (trad. or simp.) in Latin-based Windows.

Thanks.

Donors can test the beta and prealpha-version.
http://www.freecommander.com/fc_donation_en.htm

What do you get for your donation?
If you donate at least 10 EUR (ca. 15 USD) you get a permanent access to the beta site.
