Tortoise context menu disappeared overnight

Hi,
I have been using TortoiseSVN with FreeCommander for about two weeks now and everything has worked perfectly fine.

When I got to work this morning I started my computer and the Tortoise context menu is gone, and the Tortoise file icons don't appear. At first I thought that TortoiseSVN hadn't started but when I check from Explorer everything is ok. Everything was also ok from FreeCommander yesterday.

I use FreeCommander 2009.02a and TortoiseSVN 1.6.6.17493-win32-svn-1.6.6.
I have tried to reinstall both FreeCommander and TortoiseSVN. I also updated TortoiseSVN to 1.6.7.18415-win32-svn-1.6.9 but the problem remains.

Anyone else had this problem? If I can't get it to work again I will be forced to use the Explorer and I will probably be doomed for all time.

That thread is about the 32-bit vs 64-bit issue as far as I can see.

However, I found out what the problem was and maybe it needs to be looked over.

Yesterday I turned on the "Show overlays and context menu only in explorer" in TortoiseSVN settings as I didn't want the Icons to be shown in 'save as..' or 'open' dialogs. This worked well yesterday but I guess me turning off the computer and then on again this morning prevented FreeCommander from finding the context menu etc. due to this option being set.

When I turned the option off the icons and context menu are back.

Cheers

This is one of Dreamer's conclusion, but I'm not convinced to it.

TotalCommander runs as 32-bit and I can open context menu on my 64-bit system.
I presume it's FreeCommander's problem.
