Hi!

I have setup FreeCommander to use Console2 instead of the normal dos box when pressing CTRL-D. I did this by setting:

DosCommandBoxSpec=c:\PathToCosole2\console.exe -d "%ActivDir%"

My problem is that the Active Directory variable is not being passed correctly and so Console2 opens from its default path. I can manually run Console2 with the -d switch and it starts in the directory I want. However, when starting from FC, it does not work.

Any ideas what I should put here instead?

DosCommandBoxSpec=c:\PathToCosole2\console.exe -r "/k cd /d %ActivDir%"

I get "The system cannot find the path specified."

Assuming you replaced PathToCosole2 with the correct path to the executable, be sure to include the quotes as shown. This works beautifully for me.

Hmm... this is the line I have:
DosCommandBoxSpec=c:\MyPrograms\Console2\console.exe -r "/k cd /d %ActivDir%"

Console runs.. so its the correct path to the console. The path that can not be found is the Active Directory. Its as if it is not being passed to the command line.

I'm using FC version 2009.02a

Well, I was sure it worked, yesterday. However, today I get a console opening to the Console2 folder. I modified the command to "echo %ActivDir%" and it did indeed echo "%ActivDir%" instead of the path it represents. So, the variables do not appear to be recognized in this context. It does work, however, as a tool command (Extras/Favorite tools/Edit..., or shift+ctrl+y). The only difference would be entering Ctrl+number), instead of Ctrl+D).
