FC2009.02 works ok in Windows XP but not in Windows 2000.

FC2008.06c works fine in both.

Perhaps it's the same as in Vista, try to change the path to the settings file (other than C:\Program Files).

I must confirm that FC2009.02 doesn't work in Windows 2000 SP4. My path to the settings file FreeCommander.ini is F:\Prog_a\Freecommander200902.
Value of variable Pos (line 5 of FreeCommander.ini) really changes, but the next invocation of FC doesn't respect it. Size and position of window is always the same.

Do you have the option "Auto save settings" enabled?

Yes, the option "Extras/Settings../General/Auto save settings" was checked. Manual "Extras/Save settings" was also tried but with no effect. As I said last time already, the size and position were really saved, but FC takes no account of it when used next time. (To precise the term "default size/position" used in the title of thread, I take it to be the size/position when FC was used last time.)

Perhaps it's Win 2000 related, but there is another problem, I'm not sure if it has been fixed already. When you maximize FC window and close it, window position and size may be lost.

...So it's still not fixed. I think it has been fixed once, but now it's back, so try to always restore FC to window mode before you close FC.

I am sorry, but the faulty behaviour described above is in effect even if I do not maximize the window before leaving FC.

OK, it was just an idea...

I have the same problem in Win2000 SP4
