I'm sorry if this had been discussed before. I tried to Search, but can't figure out the right search terms.

In the Define Favorite Tools window, in the right-hand column beneath the Programs browser are the options for Start Folder and Parameters.
The Help file gives a list of the settings, but I can't get my head around what they actually do.

Could someone please expain
What these do and how they work?
When and why would they be used?

Could you provide a couple of "real-world" examples?

I look forward to any input, thanks.

I'm not sure about Start Folder, but when I use it, path is changed to FC install folder.

Parameters are for standard command line parameters, here are few FC parameters for example:

Start drive might be useful when you run FC from USB stick, then you can use this option to run the other programs from your USB stick, for example:

%FcSrcDrive%Programs\XnView\xnview.exe

It's useful because the drive letter is not always the same.
