I am using FreeCommander on Windows 7 RC 64bit ver.
I do not see any difference except one thing:
There are some items in right click context menu missing. (compared to windows explorer)
I guess maybe the menus are stored in different place of registry for 64bit Windows.
Is it possible to support this?

I wanted to bump this as a feature request. I love FreeCommander, but I'm running a 64-bit OS and shell extensions for some 64-bit program I use don't show up when using the 32-bit FreeCommander. I don't know how hard this would be to do. If the program was actually open source then maybe someone could take a crack at compiling a 64-bit version of it.

Believe it or not, some people are still using XP 64, after rejecting Vista64 and would like to see it work there too. :)

Gotta give this a bump as well. I have tried many alternative file explorers (xplorer2, xyplorer, q-dir), and finally found a *free*, dual-pane, multi-tabbed, highly customisable file explorer in Free COmmander. Well done!

The only gripe I have is this : the shell extensions are missing in the 32bit version of FC when used in a 64-bit OS like Win7. Could we please have an ETA as to when the 64bit version will be ready?

I have to rever to Q-DIR for now as it's free as well, but the UI is not something I prefer.

For the recent version I am planning an update in January or February of next year. This version will contain the functionality of the recent beta-version. I'm not planning any major changes or upgrades for that version. I’d like to use the time until January/February for fixing bugs and really small improvements.

Bump. I want to see the progress on this. FC is the best apps for 32 bit windows. It can be the champ for 64 bit.

Progress has been made. The latest beta version has 64-bit context menu support. Read about it in the Beta Discussion/New beta version topic.
