FreeCommander Forum

Hi

I just downloaded freecommander because I need to rename and change the file extension of multiple files. However, when I highlight all the files I want to rename etc. I am told that the files highlighted with red cannot be renamed. Is there someone here who can tell me what I might be doing wrong. I want to change inp.-files to txt.-files or doc.

Files marked in red can not be renamed because they get equal filenames with your settings or there are files with that names in this directory.

You have to set different filenames, e.g. [n][c] (=[name][counter]).
