V392 MP3 Variable Bugs

It seems like the bit rate is off.

All my 32 kbps files are showing up as 31 when the variable is applied, and the MP3 Channel Mode Num, which I think should be a 1 or a 0, comes out as a 4. Also, the mp3encoder does not seem to produce a value. I'm using the Lame encoder.

Please let me know if I'm perhaps needing to do some more testing.

Thanks

I'm having trouble with my Hotmail account today - it only works online, not within Outlook Express like it normally does - so just to be sure, I have placed the file on a service that you should be able to download it from:

http://www.pdscomputing.com/hosting/files/fchelp01.zip

It is a 20 meg ZIP file containing a graphic of the anomoly and two sample audio files.

I hope it provides you with what you need.

Thank you very much,

BK

I have checked the files:
- mp3bitrate should be 32
- mp3channelmodenum is ok: 4=mono check the format spec. http://www.mpgedit.org/mpgedit/mpeg_for ... ormat.html
- mp3encoder is not saved, see the file properties

Good info, thanks. I guess I expected Mono to equal 1 and Stereo to equal 2, but it's my mistake for not checking the spec.

I hope the Bit Rate anomoly can be fixed.

I sincerely appreciate all the time you put in to Free Commander. Please keep up the good work.

Best wishes,

BK
