I am sorry, but from your description I do not know where is your problem?
Have you tried the default settings first?
I see no problem if using ◀ and/or ▶ in the file name.

I do not know how more precisely descriptive I could possibly report this bug - therefore I will just ask this then:

with TXT test samples, does the folder arrows test A display every file in the same way the folder arrows test B does; and / or there is no truncation of any kind occurring, especially indicated by
showing at the end of some of those files?

But my personal settings truncate names of files

I have pin-pointed the culprit in my

FreeCommander.ini

which is the
value - assuming I also use
The truncation happens if the FileListFont_Size value is set above 9 i.e. when the font is 10 or higher, but I can use e.g. 13 without side effects if I delete the FileListFont_Name line

It is fixed for the next release.
