Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to:

   Tools (menu) → Settings (menu) → View (tree) → Viewer (tree) → General (tab) → Viewer (button)

2. Go to:

   General (tab) → 'as Windows preview:' (field)

   But all extension fields are probably affected by this, too.
3. Add an extension (eg: '.json') to the start of the line.

   .json

4. Click 'Ok' button
5. Click 'Apply' button

Problem:
You will find that the change is saved but not recognised.

Work around:
So you need to revisit the 'Configure Viewer' dialogue screen, where you will see the item list is now sorted.
Then click 'Ok' again, and only now will it work and be recognised.
