Copy/Paste Issue on mounted volume

Hi,

This is my first post, so bear with me if I am not describing the issue properly or confusing with terminologies. I ran into an issue which looks like a bug to me. If anyone knows how to fix, I would appreciate it.

I use Box Drive (online storage solution) at work. The main folder for the Box Drive is created as a JUNCTION and a volume mounted. Not sure how to upload the screenshot, but below is what I get at CMD.
> dir
07/14/2025 08:28 AM <JUNCTION> Box [\??\Volume{ABCDXYD}\]

Box is the name of folder where the drive is mounted and ABCDXYD is what looks like GUID
When I copy a file using “Explorer” and then paste it using FC, nothing happens. However, if I drag the file from Explorer and then drop it in FC window, it works as expected. If both copy and paste actions happens within FC, there is no issue. It’s only when source is Explorer and Destination is Box Drive folder in FC.

I have had similar issue earlier too, where, if I copy something in Explorer, close it and then try to past in FC, nothing would happen (no copy/paste). I have been ignoring it thinking it's some kind of limitation. However, in the above scenario, the copy/paste fails even if the Explorer is still open.

Has anyone run into this issue?

FC Version: FreeCommander XE 2025 Build 921 32-bit public
OS: Windows 10 22H2

PS: I have screen-recording but, as mentioned above for screenshot, I am not sure how to attach it here.

Thanks,

Do you run FC as admin ?
If yes, Windows will prevent action from the normal running Explorer
into the FC process with higher rights.

I do have Admin rights on the machine but FC is always run as normal user, not Admin.

My PC was upgraded to Windows 11 (23H2) in-place last week. The issue remains after the upgrade. It seems to be more of a bug (or a deficiency) in FC than anything to do with the OS itself.

It's a free tool and is better than default in lot of other things, so can't complain much and just hope it'll get fixed some day :) . Until then it's time to juggle between FC and Explorer again.

I think, I have found the possible problem.
It should be fixed in the next release.

That's a good news, thanks. Will wait for the next release.
