Ctrl-C (and Ctl-X) sometimes don't update clipboard

If previewing a PDF, Ctrl-C (and Ctl-X) sometimes don't update clipboard (on first entry to that subdirectory)
This bug is unique to….
Something in my FreeCommander.ini file
ONLY when using Preview (Ctl-Q)
ONLY when previewing a PDF.
Using:
FreeCommanderXE-64-donor_portable929 (and prior versions)
Windows 10 Home 64-bit 21H2, latest version as of 2025-04-12
Recreate:
With FreeCommanderXE-64-donor_portable929
With my Freecommander.ini
Ctrl-Q (Turn on Preview)
Navigate to a subdir containing multiple PDFs
If desired (makes no difference) select non-PDF and Ctl-C that file.
Select PDF#1 (that's being previewed)
Press Ctrl-C (or Ctl-X) and observe on Clipboard (Microsoft Clipboard Viewer)
BUG: PDF filename NOT copied to clipboard (and thus cannot be pasted elsewhere)
Press Ctrl-C a second, third, etc time and observe on Clipboard (Microsoft Clipboard Viewer)
SAME BUG: PDF filename (still) NOT copied to clipboard.
Continuing with this test….
Navigate to PDF#2 in same subdirectory (without leaving the subdirectory)
Press Ctrl-C and observe on Clipboard (Microsoft Clipboard Viewer)
GOOD: PDF#2 copied to clipboard
Navigate BACK to PDF#1 in same subdirectory (NEVER leaving the subdir)
Press Ctrl-C and observe on Clipboard (Microsoft Clipboard Viewer)
GOOD: PDF#1 NOW copied to clipboard
Still continuing with this test….
Navigate to a DIFFERENT subdirectory, but NOT simply a parent directory
Do something there if you'd like to.
Navigate BACK to original subdirectory containing PDFs
Select PDF#1 (that's being previewed)
Press Ctrl-C and observe on Clipboard (Microsoft Clipboard Viewer)
SAME BUG: PDF filename NOT copied to clipboard.
Etc.
Summary: Only with my Freecommander.ini, only when previewing a PDF, first "visit" to a subdirectory will NOT put filename on clipboard (so copy and cut don't work), but if you first select a DIFFERENT PDF it does work.
Note: Copy/Cut using mouse Right-Click of previewed PDF always works fine -- it's only Ctl-C/Ctl-X that don't work.
Workaround: Delete my FreeCommander.ini and reconfigure Freecommander.
Things I've investigated as best I could (but probably inadequate):
Changing Settings > File/Folder Operations > General "use windows" vs "use Freecommander" makes no difference
Changed many Viewer parameters - no change.
I will be glad to provide (tell me how) my Freecommander.ini if that would be helpful
