FreeCommander XE 2025 Build 929 64-bit donor
Windows 11 Pro 23H2 64-bit

when trying to access some folders I get an error in FreeCommander (screenshot attached):

"The device is not ready
The system cannot find the path specified"

I cannot access the folder, tried by copying in the path, clicking on the folder, using favorite items, using the folder tree. Always the same error.
I can access subfolders of the not accessible folder by pasting in the path directly or via the folder tree.
I can right click on the folder and select "Open" it opens in the Windows explorer.
I can rename the folder. The rename is successful, but I still cannot access the now renamed folder.

I tried also with FreeCommander portable and default settings. Same behaviour.
I un-installed and re-installed Free Comannder. No change.

What about telling us the names of "some folders" ?

Sorry, I didn't think this was relevant:

One Folder is called "Archive" the full path: is
C:\Users\XXXXXXXX\OneDrive - XXXXXX YYYYYYYYYYY\AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA\10_Manage_Internal_Library\170_Internal_CMM_Communication_Management\MSR\Archive

X,Y,A are masking the names but are the actual number of characters.
I don't think it is the length of the path, because it used to be the folder above called MSR that was not accessible and after I created the folder "Archive" now MSR is accessible but Archive is not.

It is not always the same folders that are affected. It changes when I create new folders. But I could not discover a pattern. I does not change between reboots.

I now have a new current case:

The folder is called:
C:\Users\XXXXXXXX\OneDrive - YYYYYY Corporation\02_PM_related\02_PM_Templates
I could access it normally, no issues.
Then I pasted a file there from the downloads folder: ABCDEF_PPT-template_FY26.potx

When the pating was finished the window appeared:

The device is not ready
The system cannot find the path specified

Screenshot attached already previously.

Since then I cannot access the folder any more with Free Commander. No issue accesing it with the windows explorer.
