TeraCopy not working with FC

TeraCopy is no longer working with my "FreeCommander XE 2025 Build 928 64-bit donor". It still does work with my Win11 64-bit 24H2 File Manager.
I tried toggling off/on Register as Default Copy Handler in TeraCopy. I tried in FC settings "File/Folder Operations" setting Copy and Move to C:\Program Files\TeraCopy\TeraCopy.exe or C:\Program Files\TeraCopy\TeraCopyService.exe
Advice please?

Which operation? If Drag&Drop, then it is possible. I made in the last version some changes to Drag&Drop and forgot to exclude the changes for external operations.

Ooops, sorry, yes, it is Drag&Drop that TeraCopy isn't working with.

Please check 929.

Many thanks, Marek. It was working with 929...until today, and how TeraCopy drag-and-drop is again not working with FC. (TeraCopy drag-and-drop is still working with Win11 File Explorer though.)

I have TeraCopy 4.0 RC installed.
In FC it's configured and Drag and Drop works fine.

Not only does TeraCopy continue to not work for me with drag-and-drop on "FreeCommander XE 2025 Build 933 64-bit donor" (while TeraCopy still does work with my Win11 64-bit 24H2 File Manager)...
Now when I forget and do a drag-and-drop with FC, the Windows dialog box doesn't even appear (making it impossible to know when the operation completes).
This situation is very inconvenient; will it be fixed please?

For me, it works when I start the drag operation on the icons of the selected file(s).
I then get the menu and can select to move or copy.
For collisions, I can see that FC is used in this case and not TeraCopy.
The normal Copy/Move buttons are all working fine, using TeraCopy.

Thank you very much for your reply, horst.epp!
I see if I start the drag-and-drop operation on the icon of a selected file, the situation improves a bit, in that the Windows dialog box appears. But still no TeraCopy.
So I am eager for this situation to be fixed.
But in the meantime (while I want to drag-and-drop), where/what are the Copy/Move buttons are you talking about?

The buttons are between the 2 Windows.
FC changes the arrows on it depending on the current active side.
I always use the buttons, never drag and drop.
It's much faster to click and one of the reasons to have a 2 windows file manager.
This is how it looks

Ah, interesting, thank you. I use FC configured with one window, though.

OK, I got exasperated with this situation, and un-/re-installed FC.
TeraCopy worked on the initial new install, when I copied a file between panes. But only after I changed this setting:
File/Folder operations|General|both Copy & Move enable Use external program
Then I did the rest of my customizations (itemized
here) to mimic 'File Explorer' look and feel. (You see, I want a one-pane File Explorer setup, I just can't live without a column that shows the size of folders.)
I learned what several weeks ago stopped utilizing my system file handler TeraCopy: copy and move within the same pane (which is what I warmly embraced FC for). When I toggle to 2 panes with F10, I find that FC does still use TeraCopy between panes (the way I don't use it).
I wonder if our Marek is even going to see this in this non-recent post; if not maybe I should message him or submit a new post specifying that I discovered that the external file handler call has been broken for drag-and-drop within the same pane.
Edit: Now I can't even get it to work between panes, but that could be because I never used two panes before and am very confused about how to do it.

I installed current version 3.17 of the TeraCopy in the VM for testing and i really do not know what is your problem.
For me all works fine.
Send me your FreeCommander settings files and describe which operation does not work for you.

For me,
drag and drop with TeraCopy (4.0) works fine in single pane mode (F10) of FC.
Made this only for testing.
I will never understand why someone uses this mode
and gives away the benefit of all two pane file managers.

Send me your FreeCommander settings files and describe which operation does not work for you.
Thanks for your settings and proper description.
Currently the option "File/folder operations -> External tool is used for drag&drop" is ignored for the tree nodes (you should activate the option for the next release).
Fixed for the next release.
