I just discovered that Alt + Left-click on archive opens archive contents in inactive panel.
However, it opens twice (2 tabs).

Actually Alt + Left-click on any file/folder exhibits this behavior.

Here, Alt+Left Click on Archives or folders open one tab on the other side.

Thanks for the the reply. It looks like something else is afoot.

I'm just guessing, but it could be a hardware issue with mouse, random double-click, try another mouse, if possible.

I had this problem with 2 mice.

Perhaps you could test it, if using double-click to open item, just 1-click multiple items, if some will be opened, it could be that HW issue, random double-click.

BTW I can't confirm the original issue either, with default or custom settings.

Thanks Dreamer. After reading your reply, I used autohotkey to simulate the mouse and I still get the same result.
It's no big deal. I only discovered it by accident. It's just as easily forgotten. Thanks for looking into it.
