Quick Viewer issues with mouse hotkeys / navigation

When options
Settings > View > Viewer > Image - use mouse wheel for > switching files
and
Settings > View > Viewer > One viewer per panel > Use the opposite panel
are set, then when user turns on
View > Quick view panel
it will show up in the Inactive Panel. Unfortunately if user starts using Mouse Wheel with also Control key being pressed down, then nothing happens - because the focus is still within the Active Panel. Thus user is forced to perform a (LMB, RMB or MMB) click first somewhere within Quick Viewer area in order to activate switching of files. And although after such click the focus still remains in the Active Panel and user is able to go up and down the list of items within Active Panel using the Mouse Wheel (which is a user friendly feature). there are some drawbacks:
#1] If user inadvertently goes all the way up to the
parent directory indicator, then it is impossible to go back down - because the highlight stays being stuck on that top most pseudo-system-item
#2] If user very quickly performs a longer (more energetic) move of Mouse Wheel that would ensure going past that mentioned indicator (i.e. user attempts to cycle through, either jumping from top to bottom or from bottom to top), then after initial passing through the highlight stays being stuck on whatever item such longer (fast) jump movement stopped at. In other words: it is possible to execute one (energetic) jump and that is it. Because then user is then either forced to jump re-start it by clicking within the list of items and then also re-click in Quick Viewer area, or is forced to reset by turning off and then back on the entire Quick Viewer sub-window
#3] It is always impossible to navigate using Arrow keys
#4] If user fully switches focus to Inactive Panel then navigating with Mouse Wheel no longer works. And this also can be fixed by either jump re-restart or reset
(However I was unable to experience switched shortcuts i.e. I always got a zoom in when executing Mouse Wheel Up and zoom out with Mouse Wheel Down)
These drawbacks are also present when option
Settings > View > Viewer > Image - use mouse wheel for > zooming
is chosen and option
Settings > View > Viewer > One viewer per panel > Use the opposite panel
is not chosen
(And I also have not tested out using Quick Viewer as a separate window i.e. I only evaluated usage of it in form of sub-window in vertical mode of operations, thus it being adjacent in one way or another to Left and Right Panel)
And so I propose:
A] Make the Mouse Wheel perform switching between files be possible right away either automatically or by adding a new option for such behavior i.e. stop user from having to perform additional intermediary click
B] Get rid of that dichotomic focus in Active Panel i.e. make switching be possible with Arrow keys. And also make sure the Enter key will also still work, so that navigation to other folders is possible always
C] Stop act of landing / stepping on the parent directory >>..<< indicator from freezing switching of between files
