Hi - I'm using FC to rename a LOT of photos and would like to set the default Timestamp format to yyyy-mm-dd

I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to make this format the default

Cheers!

Thanks - but I think that just changes the way that you view the date

I want to change the default format that is applied when I use multi rename to change file names.

I thought it would be under

Settings/ File/Folder Operations / Rename/Create /Timestamp Format

but the Format I want yyyy/mm/dd is not in the list, although when using the Multi rename - my required format IS in the list of available formats - I just can't seem to make it the default

You can enter your preferred format in the list
but this will not work, as file or dir names can't contain /

Select this timestamp format and desired file name pattern, create profile in Profiles tab "+" icon, then in menu - Options - select "Open first profile on start".

Hi horst.epp

Thanks for that - my mistake - the format I'm after was yyyy-mm-dd, not yyyy/mm/dd

I tried editing the Timestamp format as suggested - but even after saving the settings - it doesn't seem to "stick" as the default format for Multi rename

Unless anyone knows different, I shall use the Profile workarund as suggested by Dreamer

Thanks anyway

You're welcome.

Another way, without profiles, is to use menu - Options - "Start with last used settings".
