Adding items to a folder at the end of the list of its items it already holds

Despite having the option
Tools > Settings > View > File/folder list > Add new items at the end of the list
as selected, whenever I copy or move anything to a folder I automatically get to see it among items already present in it in alphabetical order. What other option should I change then to have them shown at the end of list [until I refresh the view one way or another]
I am using Build 907 64-bit Donor Portable & Build 900 32-bit Public Installed

In 908 donor it's partly broken, works when using F5 and using FC operations for Copy.
It's broken, when using drag&drop or Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V.
In 901 public it works good also when using drag&drop or Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V.
Moved to Bug reports.

It seems that 900 32-bit Public Installed has no problem with this and it is only the newer versions that have issues with those operations

Any reason why you're not using latest public version 901?

Please check it if the option "Settings->File/folder list - Refresh: Refresh when FreeCommander is activated" is not active.

That's it, it was active, when I disabled this option, it works good.
OK, so is it a bug or a feature?

It's a feature.
You may not always want a refresh if there is a very large network tree open in the background.

I meant original issue, since it works with F5/FC, but it doesn't work with Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V.
Anyway, it looks, that FC window is inactive for a moment, when using Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V, that's why the view is refreshed, so it's probably normal.

I was not aware of it. I only use Public when checking if bugs that I am experiencing were present in older builds / 32-bit version / installed

Yes, it seems that this was all about
Tools > Settings > View > File/folder list > Refresh > Refresh when FreeCommander is activated
But after reading through all of those option available there, rethinking my two contradictory modus operandi that I would like to use interchangeable without a need of re-going to de/select the above option and also considering that some users might have different caveats like

I think there is a room for
Tools > Settings > View > File/folder list > Refresh > Add new items at the end of the list
being changed into
Tools > Settings > View > File/folder list > Refresh > Add new items at the end of the list - always
while adding a brand new option
Tools > Settings > View > File/folder list > Refresh > Add new items at the end of the list - except when they are moved / copied into folder from another
between two of which user could choose only one [if any]. This second option would provide ability to retain the alphabetical order for existing items and new ones and of their copies made on the spot in a given folder - but would put at the end anything that would be moved [originated] from another folder or copied in from outside source

As I said above, when using Ctrl+C / Ctrl+Y or drag&drop, main FC window is inactive for a moment, so if the option "Refresh when FreeCommander is activated" is enabled, list is refreshed, so it's normal.
I'm not sure, if it's possible to prevent that behavior, when FC window is inactive, if possible, it could be changed, if not, any alternative options are impossible.
BTW Workaround to option "Refresh when FreeCommander is activated" could be double-click to free space to refresh view, so after activating FC clicking free space, just click to free space twice and view would be refreshed.

Yes, thank you for the ideas as this would be one way of dealing with that - i.e. choosing the
Tools > Settings > View > File/folder list > Mouse shortcuts > By double clicking on free space > Refresh the list
option. But unfortunately again I am faced with a choice of using this over some other option - i.e. the
Tools > Settings > View > File/folder list > Mouse shortcuts > By double clicking on free space > Select all items
which is already very handy time-saving
And so as I will stay using that second one, the
question to Marek would be: is that proposition of mine

feasible?
And / or alternatively [going back to the above workaround] could utilization of Middle Mouse Button and RMB be implemented for the
Tools > Settings > View > File/folder list > Mouse shortcuts > By double clicking on free space
feature? [I made a separate topic about this proposition:

You can you the option I'm using, use middle button for Toggle selection (files, items) and use refresh for left double-click.
Regarding other suggestions, I think it's already in answers above, it could be hard or impossible, could be in conflict with existing option.
