large PDF thumbnails not shown in 2024 Build 900 portable

Large PDF thumbnails are not shown in 2024 Build 900 portable.
This appears to be a regression in this version.

Test case:

In FreeCommander XE 2023 build 880 portable, view a folder with PDF files using View > Thumbnails More > Thumbnails 512 (or 1024).
Observe that the PDF thumbnails are displayed correctly at the selected 512 or 1024 size.

On the same system with all settings the same as before...
In FreeCommander XE 2024 build 900 portable, view a folder with PDF files using View > Thumbnails More > Thumbnails 512 (or 1024).
Observe that the PDF thumbnails are displayed at about 294x380.
There is whitespace around each thumbnail which is the correct size, but the thumbnail itself is too small.
