Currently those functions need multiple toolbar buttons / keyboard shortcuts.

Ctrl+A is good and handy, but Ctrl+Num +, Ctrl+Num -, and Ctrl+Num * are not so handy, not notebook friendly either.

3 in 1 select, to toggle 3 most used select functions would be useful also for mouse shortcuts, since the number of mouse buttons / functions for free space is limited to 3 (left double-click, middle, right), I'm using left double-click to refresh all, right click for context menu, so just middle click is free for select, but sometime I need to select all, sometime to select files only, so I have to use the toolbar button for 1 of them.

I'm not sure about the name, perhaps "Toggle select all files, all items, none".

Just simple

Toggle Selection

will suffice. Alternatively

Toggle Selection (Files / Items / None)


And as we are at it: why not also

Toggle Selection (Files / Folders / None)

and / or

Toggle Selection (Files / Folders / Items / None)

or maybe even a complete set consisting of

Toggle Selection: Files / None
Toggle Selection: Folders / None
Toggle Selection: Files / Items / None
Toggle Selection: Folders / Items / None
Toggle Selection: Files / Folders / Items / None

I think it's not needed, it should be just most used options, I never used the option to select all folders.

You do not use and I do not use. But someone might need it for work; like when using for example also the Show Folders The Same Way As Files view option

If someone need to use if often, he can use existing option, toolbar button, or/and keyboard shortcut, which is even faster, 1-click.

I really think, it's not needed for mouse shortcut.

There are people with physical disabilities who relay mostly on mouse for interactions with their computers
