[SOLVED] QV uses uLister instead of mmedia plugin, requires SHFT+ALT+M to view videos

I am using 32-bit version of FC on Win 11, 64-bit.
I am facing a peculiar problem:
By default, the QV does not play video files (predominantly mp4 files).
It shows two different types of errors (the error type is file-dependent):
1. A viewer for this format is not currently available.
2. Rendering of this format is not supported.
The title bar of QV shows that the uLister plugin is being used instead of the mmedia plugin.
If I press SHFT+ALT+M, QV plays the video successfully.
But having to do this for each and every video is tedious.
When a video file is selected in the active folder panel, QV should start to play the video immediately.
-----------------------------------------------
My Configure viewer window settings are as follows:
In the General tab, mp4 file type is listed as "media"
(this is by default, I have not changed any settings in the General tab).
In the Multimedia tab, I have selected Windows Media Player 9.0 as media interface.
The Auto-start playback option is selected.
In the Plugins tab, I have added three plugins.
Their order and parameters (settings) are as shown below:
mmedia.uwlx
MULTIMEDIA
slister.wlx
Settings: EXT="PDF" | EXT="DJVU" | EXT="DJV"| EXT="XPS" | EXT="CBZ" | EXT="CBR" | EXT="EPUB" | EXT="CHM" | EXT="MOBI" | EXT="AZW3"
ulister.wlx
Settings: EXT!="EPUB" | EXT!="PDF" | EXT!="CHM" | EXT!="DJVU"
(I set this order after reading an old thread on this subject, which explains how to install these plugins, and what order to use.)
The "Plugins have higher priority than internal viewers" checkbox is selected.
