"Select an App to Open this File" when viewing Pictures

When I click on an image (JPG or PNG) to view it inside FC, I get this message all the time: https://imgur.com/a/upzIMcC

Is there some option I can click on, to eliminate having to click through this?

I am on Windows 11, FWIW.

If you click "always" once and then open the same file format, do you have the same dialog again?

Are you using standard FC version, or portable version? If it's a portable version, don't use "Program Files" folder for FC.

Check also the FAQ, link is below, not just for portable version.

Workarounds:
- try the internal viewer - F3
- Settings > Programs > Default action > and set your default program for images here

Anyway, if you have that dialog every time, it's not normal.

I am using the standard version, not the portable version: FreeCommander XE 2023 Build 880 32-bit public

Yes, I get the same dialog even after clicking the Always button.

OK, I am trying to set up default programs inside FC. This is what I have so far, but I don't know where to insert the various image files.

Into the filter field, you can copy it from the Viewer settings, or from here:

Code: Select all
