Inserting date when editing file names

Hi, is there any way to set up a shortcut (or other fast way) which would insert current date (yyyy-mm-dd) when editing file name (other than using multi rename tool which is of course superb tool)?

For example, I hit F2 and am able to edit file name, then I hit 'Home' button so that I'm now editing the beginning of file name and... is there any fast way to just insert current date at the beginning?

It is impossible.

Workaround could be external program like HotkeyP or AutoHotkey.
