Mouse actions

#1 Post by clanman » 11.02.2023, 00:07

A list if default keyboard shortcuts can be found here https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/K ... tcuts.html.

Is there a list of mouse action shortcuts (I can't find one)?

For example I learnt in my previous post here https://freecommander.com/forum/viewtop ... 152#p40152 that you can middle click a folder to open it in a new tab in the same pane (thanks Karol).

- Settings (F12) > File/folder operations > "Drag&Drop" (standard Windows actions, Ctrl+ to copy, Shift+ to move, Alt+ to create link)
- Settings (F12) > Select items > when using "single click" options, multiple actions "By click on..." are available (open, focus, select)
- Settings (F12) > Select items > NC-mode > "Select with right mouse button"
- Middle click the address bar, last folder or free space, to edit path
- Settings (F12) > View > File/folder list > General > By double click on free space > 4 actions available
- Settings (F12) > View > Folder Tabs > "Close tab on doubleclick"
- Mouse wheel over the tab bar only to switch tabs
- Left click the actual tab to go to last used tab ("Close tab on doubleclick" option must be disabled)
- Double click the tab label to go to locked path ("Close tab on doubleclick" option must be disabled)
- Double click on empty space in the Tab bar create a duplicate of the current tab

- Settings (F12) > View > Viewer > Image - use mouse wheel for: "zooming" / "switching files" (Ctrl+wheel will use the opposite option)
- Mouse wheel over the pages panel for multi-page files (ico, pdf...) to switch pages
- Double click the splitter to split panels 50/50%
- Ctrl+right click on free space to get the default Windows context menu
- Right click the status bar to get the context menu with multiple actions
- Drag&drop the item to the favorite tools bar to quickly add the current item to favorite tools
- Drag&drop the tab to move it within the same panel (wait a bit before you start to drag)
- Drag&drop the tab to copy it to the other panel (wait a bit before you start to drag)
- Small hidden buttons in the status bar, around the splitter / quick filter field to copy the path from left to right panel and vice versa, left click to activate
- Splitter "hot spot" button to quickly switch (show/hide panel) is available for multiple windows: main file list, quick viewer, tree, favorites tree, Search, Multi rename, left click to use

These keyboard / mouse shortcuts were added in build 860 (already in the topic "not so obvious" settings (VLC must be installed and set in FC viewer settings):

Thanks Dreamer.

Maybe this should be a sticky post or even added to help?
