Multi Rename with Wildcard Locks Up FC Build 880

Using the * wildcard in the Search For field repeatedly locks up FC and it has to be forced to be closed. After a fresh reboot, it will work a few times but, after doing several batches of renames, it will start locking it up every time. I am running 64-bit Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 Build 19045.2486.

Could you provide more info?
Preferably a screenshot with the dialog.

There is no dialog -- just gets stuck on the Hourglass icon .

I mean of course the Multi Rename dialog to see what you define for all fields.

After it gave me such trouble for several days in a row before reporting it, I have not yet been able to recreate the issue. I have the application on 2 different computers and it only has this problem on one of the computers. I'll keep trying to break it again!

Have you installed or uninstalled something in-between? Or changes any settings of Windows, added maybe some Registry hack?
