883 Crash when disabling Windows-drawn menus

In v883 donor x64 on Win7 x64, when disabling the Windows-drawn menus via settings, and then clicking OK in the Settings dialog box, FCXE will always crash.
Please note that I'm referring to the existing Windows-drawn menu setting, and not the new Favorites-drawn menu setting.
BTW, I don't notice any difference between FreeCommander-drawn menus and Windows-drawn menus (for any of the menus). Is a separate issue?
