Please help me with this confounding problem. In Windows File Explorer, my images would have nice thumbnails in a certain folder, then if I switch folders, and return, they would be placeholder images.
So I tried about 10 solutions suggested online. No luck.
Finally, I did a Repair Install of Windows 10. No love.
So I then tried Total Commander, and now Free Commander, which is awesome, but still the same problem exists.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Thumbnails not showing - FreeCommander Forum
I have no real solution, but I had this issue few times, it was fixed itself in few days, so try to wait, leave Windows Explorer or/and FreeCommander opened all the time in background.
Workaround - if you really need the thumbnails now, try the XnView or XnView MP, with an internal thumbnail system.
