Folder display in right pane
Folder display in right pane
Hi all,
I want to display the folders in the right pane the same way Explorer does. I can't find the setting. For example, in Explorer I click the C drive and all its folders appear in the right pane, I'm using a two pane set up just like Explorer. Thanks.
(I have a picture of an Explorer example but I forget the rather convoluted method for adding pictures to a post. This is the only forum I belong to that makes it very confusing. There's no button, no instructions, and you can't drag and drop.)

If you want it like the Explorer
Set one panel and enable the tree

Re: Folder display in right pane
Thanks, Horst. Would you give me the exact steps. I tried that but it didn't work. Likely my error.
Re: Folder display in right pane
F10, Alt+T.

You're welcome, just click the link "How to report a bug" below, you can check the other links too.
Re: Folder display in right pane
I tried to upload my image to postimages.org but when used the login, none of my current information worked. I'm not going to bother. The method for posting images is way to convoluted and dated. I don't see why we can't just drag them onto the page or use an upload image button. This forum software is from the dark ages. I won't live long enough to make it work, especially when MS randomly decides to trash all your stored login and password info, thanks to their stupid updates !
Re: Folder display in right pane
I uploaded image to https://postimages.org/ in a few seconds - drag&drop from FC window, then just click to copy link and paste here, no need to login.
Regarding the passwords, just use a portable web browser with updates, I'm using Firefox Portable, just backup - with all settings and passwords, no need to install again.

F10, Alt+T didn't work?
F10 to switch to single panel mode, Alt+T to show the tree, then the drive bar is on the top, but you can use also the favorites tree, with any custom items (Alt+F). Everything is customizable. Check the FAQ too.

Re: Folder display in right pane
Actually, it did work thanks Dreamer but I ended up with three panes. I guess I want to see the little manila envelopes like Explorer but with the intelligence of FC, which MS has missed since Windows 3.0 .
I really like FC. It does everything I need without the omissions and limitations of Explorer.

Re: Folder display in right pane
All panels are resizable.
Alternative to favorite tree is the favorite tools panel.

Okay, I'll play with that idea. Thanks Dreamer.
