Preview by simply moving the mouse cursor

#1 Post by lpslp » 02.09.2022, 16:08

I would like to offer this feature. For example, we have a folder in which there is a video - by moving the cursor to the video without even clicking on it, we will immediately preview the video. Preview size - can be customized. The preview volume is also configured separately from the system volume. preview shows the resolution of the original size and resolution, remembers the position of the timeline of what has already been played and continues playing if you move the mouse over a file that has already been previewed in the current windows session, when you restart, the playback location is reset. Also, if desired, you can configure that the preview would work when you hold down ctrl alt shift in different combinations. This all works for picture files, music and video files. very convenient - just move the mouse and do a preview!

I recorded a video where you can clearly see what exactly you want ...

This is at least partly possible, use these options:

https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/General4.html
Hot track only
Hover time for select item [msec]

Then enable Quick viewer / preview - Ctrl+Q.

File information can be shown partly too, for jpg images, right click the quite viewer and select "Show EXIF/Metadata", more info can be shown in Details view or in the status bar, both are customizable.
