In regards to the Files Tooltip feature (found under the View settings menu as "Show files tooltip") it appears there is a problem with auto-refreshing the information the tooltip provides.
Here is the scenario:
I use Bonk Encoder 1.0.7 to combine some small Old Time Radio files into a larger file between about 40 and 60 minutes, depending. But usually I have a target length around 60 minutes.
So, I will drag say 10 files into Bonk Encoder and have it encode them into a single file that ends up in the "E:\Audio Conversions" folder with the file name of 01.mp3.
If I move my mouse over to that file, it will show some key information, including the length of the file in terms of minutes and seconds.
If I find that file is longer than the 60 minutes I normally prefer, I will erase it and try it with say 7 files instead of 10. Bonk Encoder then processes those 7 files into a single MP3 of the same name as before.
In this case, I have the destination folder in the left pane, and when I move the mouse over top of that new file that happens to have the same 01.mp3 name, it shows me the information related to the first file that I had created and erased instead of the file I replaced it with.
If I go up one level to "E:\" and then go back down to "E:\Audio Conversions" and move the mouse over the file, it shows the correct information for that updated replacement file.
So, I'm assuming that it's cached in a variable that doesn't automatically get refreshed if the original file is replaced with another file of the same name.
Is there a way that could be corrected? Perhaps with a checkbox in the settings dialog just under the "Show files tooltip" that would say something like "Force refresh every time a tooltip is activated"
If it's an option, then people can leave it blank if they don't want the slowdown that may occur, but for people who really need to see the most up-to-date information, they could make a choice to select the option and not mind the slightly slower response time.
What think?
Thanks
