I propose making it possible for users to add to the Status Bar a number presenting the counted length of path of a selected item. [And if many items will be selected, then no number would be shown- just like it is now in case of date & time info]

In a more advanced / extended version this new feature could show a second number: presenting to a user info of just how many characters there are left in a given path to be written until hitting the 260 limit. An advanced version would also allow for changing of the value of that limit and / or for adding of custom limits

Already possible: field "Length of the path".

But:

A] There is no option for my proposed advanced version. In compliance with current options available it should be named like "Length of the path remaining to 260 character limit". [An Yes, I know tht: it would be then a very long name - but because of this it would also be informative in a very precise matter]

B] Neither "Length of the name" and "Length of the path" work for the parent folder i.e. when user has highlighted the >>..<< line highlighted

So how about it, Marek?

Can this existing feature be upgraded with option of showing also the number of signs left to [or exceeding] the 260 mark?

And can we have this feature applied also to the parent folde indicator?
