This comes straight out of this discussion: https://www.voidtools.com/forum/viewtop ... =6&t=11835
In short: a Windows user can copy to clipboard location of file
C:\Windows\System32\conhost.exe
when accessing it with Windows Explorer or that Everything program - but it unable to paste it in to any location using FreeCommander, because of the pop-up error saying "Could not find this item" [while pasting it in Windows Explorer works]. I remember that there was some discussion about FC not being able to see all of the system files - but I could not find it now
Can this inaccessibility in FC be somehow averted?
I am using FreeCommander version 861 32-bit public Windows 10 Enterprise 20H2 19042.746 x64
Unable to paste in conhost.exe hidden system file
Re: Unable to paste in conhost.exe hidden system file
Yes. As it comes out e.g. conhost.exe is only available as 64-bit on a 64-bit operating sysytem - thus the ability of accessing it in Windows Explorer on 64-bit Windows but not in 32-bit version of FreeCommander
Re: Unable to paste in conhost.exe hidden system file
Why don't you spend a small amount of money to get the x64 version of FC.
It has many benefits to do so.
